Most Authors fail because ... they cannot sustain a productive writing habit!

Hiring a ghostwriter is expensive. Let me help you to write a first draft of your book quickly. Will it be sloppy? Probably. But it is a big step forward.

Starting any new project or habit is difficult for most people—without support.

Speed up and strengthen your writing goals with a mentor. My Coffee Shop Writing Method is simple but don't underestimate its powerful.

You won't need an office. No new equipment is needed. Keep an open mind and stay flexible.

Avoid this mistake: New writers often lose their way when working alone. "Lost at Sea" is how I define that feeling. I've been there.

Now I write professionally using hard-won methods for staying on track with sustainable creative strategies.

Mentoring means ....

  • I help you blast through roadblocks and doubts.
  • Improve your productivity by brainstorming with you.
  • Keep you accountable so that your writing output improves, and you feel proud of your skills.
  • Discover and define who you really are—why you must write.

Author Todd Copley: "Thanks Douglas for helping me conceive and write "Outrunning the Light." Without your brilliance, guidance, and courageous communication, I'm not sure this book would be in the hands of readers." #1 Amazon New Release

#1 Skill: Learn to FINISH whatever you start. It builds confidence. Now you have something you can share. PROOF that you are a writer.

#2 Skill: Break rules. Must you write every day? Not necessarily. Must you always write X-number of words per day? It helps you meet deadlines. But it is not the only way to exceed your expectations.

#3 Skill: Be a lousy "first-draft" writer. Don't be bummed out if your first pages aren't brilliant. They are not supposed to be. Appreciate what your mind and discipline have wrought. I'll teach you how to make use of your "lousy" writing—and a first draft in 6 to 12 months.

Author Amy Eicher: "Without you, Douglas, this would still be ideas dancing in my head, keeping me up at night. Thank you for your endless help in pulling my story apart and spreading it out on the kitchen table to find the perfect pieces to share my journey of restoration.” Restoring Venus, #1 Amazon New Release

How does monthly mentoring work?

  • EACH MONTH WE WILL SCHEDULE FOUR 60-minute Zoom sessions (w/ video or only audio: your choice).
  • EARLY SESSIONS include analysis of your roadblocks. Why aren't you writing? I'll share solutions.
  • DEADLINES: We'll conclude each session with a simple deadline. You don't need to move mountains to sustain your goals. But you must remain present and productive.
  • STUCK? Let's write together for 15 minutes during a Zoom session.
  • ZOOM READINGS: When you are ready, I will ask you to read portions of your writing. You'll become a master self-editor after doing this on a regular basis.
  • PLEASE NOTE: My services do not include editing or reading manuscripts. Our sole purpose is to make you the productive writer you have always wanted to be.
  • FREE copy of my book "Startup Author Hacks" @ Amazon. We will use some chapters to jump start your productivity. (I'll ask you to purchase Kindle or paperback editions, then immediately reimburse you.)

Would it help to have a FREE chat before you join? Use this link to schedule an ASK-ME-ANYTHING Book Chat.

Who is Douglas Glenn Clark?

I began my career as a playwright, then became a journalist for daily newspapers, including the Los Angeles Daily News. From there I became a ghostwriter for business and entertainment professionals. Through the years I've learned how to overcome blocks, gather rough pieces of writing and organize them into clear, polished articles and books. Allow me to share what I've learned about feeling stuck.

Don't let fear stop you from becoming the writer you know you are. Once you get started, you won't want to stop.

Wishing you every success!
